Wedding Gifts I loved Part I

As many of you know who read our entertainment news articles here at Local News Day, Mindy Morgan and I were both recently married and much of the email we get from our followers on Twitter and other places asks us to start a news area focused on weddings. As Mindy and I pondered this we thought of some of the gifts we both received at our weddings. We have some very laughable gifts such as the 14 boxes of glasses Mindy and her new husband received to the three electric can openers I received.

There are some favorites that my husband and I received. The first being the Furi Rachael Ray knife collection. The Furi Rachael Ray knife collection is made up of high quality chef knives you can use at home with out paying a lot for the quality. I can tell you that these knives are like no other. Cutting bread is the hardest thing for me. We have all been there trying to cut pieces of bread and as you cut it, you squish it down in the a bread blob trying to cut it in to peices.. I now know it wasn't me. It was the knife I was using. The Rachel Ray Furi Knives all cut like a giant razor and they seem to never get dull. I love them and trust me I am making a recommendation for a gift with no outside advertising influences.

After doing a little research on knives, I learned that Mark Henry, the creator of the fine Furi pro knife collection, had a dream to create a line of chef knives that would out perform other knives at a down to earth price.  The value of the Furi Rachael Ray knife collection is not only in the economical price for the quality, but also in the innovative Furi pro knife design.

Cindy Gliebe a constant contributor to Local News Day's Healthy Living Pages is an avid vegitarian and also runs a website called VeggieSensations.com, talked to me about the Furi knife. "The handle shape of the Furi Rachael Ray knife was designed with a reverse wedge.  This design resists your hand from slipping toward the blade because the handle is wider at the blade then it is at your palm. The Furi pro knife is made from the finest stainless steel alloy.  It is made from one seamless piece so the Furi pro knife provides you with the most hygienically clean environment a knife can offer.  Another advantage to the Furi pro knife is it's blade is hardened and tempered for maximum edge retention, ease of sharpening and toughness."

Now I didn't want to sound like I was advertising my favorite wedding gift and hoping this comes across as a news article. My editor says in no uncertain terms that I should go in to selling knives after hearing me rave about them. My recommendation, when you buy a Furi Rachael Ray Knife as a wedding gift be sure to buy one for yourself.  You can buy a single Furi Rachael Ray knife or in a set.  They come in varying sizes for every need you have.

My second favorite wedding gift was the Hurom Juicer which I will talk about in part II of my articles. For now, if you have a favorite wedding gift, please email me and tell me what it was and why at Crystal@LocalNewsDay.com.
