Being the head of Entertainment Reviews here at Local News Day, gives me the leeway to take a personal trip every year. I am a golf enthusiast and I have always heard that November through April is the best time to escape cold and rainy Portland and get some sun and fun near Disney World and take an Orlando golf trip. My choice after reading others reviews was Remington Golf Club and Kissimmee Bay Country Club for my 2010 Orlando golf vacation.  Both courses are located in Kissimmee just outside of Orlando and I learned alot about the courses on their blog. Every year a group of us take a trip to somewhere with a sun in the first part of January and this year we decided to golf in Orlando and I am telling you it was nice. About 80 degrees everyday and a nice ocean breeze.  Best of all, not a cloud in the sky.

This year we added these two courses to our Orlando golf trip and were very impressed.  The course conditions, excellent greens and friendly staff made it our favorites.  The all you can, practice, play and eat is an experience that no other Orlando golf course has. For the price of a normal greens fee we had a breakfast, a hot dog and soda at the turn and a lunch!  Incredible!  We also replayed on several of the days as this i is also included with their "ALL YOU CAN" experience.  I highly recommend these two golf courses in Orlando and give it four stars. As all my readers know I never give out five stars without something spectacular but I will admit that this experience was a borderline between 4 and 5 stars.

Hats off to the management team as we were treated nicely by all the staff.  Public courses are uncommon in Orlando and these two golf courses are locally owned and operated.  We met and dealt with the owner!  We were greeted in the parking lot, helped to the pro shop, received unlimited practice balls to warm up, then there was the  food!  It’s not a buffet style meal, it is cooked to order.  I had expected a brunch style buffet but this was table service!  We really enjoyed the ALL YOU CAN, ultimate Orlando golf experience!  The staff in the lounge was extremely friendly at both courses. Particularly the girl from Wisconsin who will remain nameless.  The beverage cart was always around and our guys did not go without that’s for sure!  All the guys in our party had fun in the bar, and they really know how to have fun there.

We actually found our Orlando golf vacation accommodations through the course as well and stayed right off the greens.  They have property management partner that rents and manages homes in the Orlando Kissimmee area.  Perfect for a stay and play Orlando golf trip.  They boast a newly acquired 50 Homes that will make your Orlando golf trip comfortable and affordable.  These homes can be rented for the same cost of many of the local hotel rooms and located less than a mile right from the golf courses in Kissimmee and very convenient to making your Orlando golf vacation a Disney World golf vacation.

If you want some sun and fun away from dreary Portland, golf in Orlando! I would highly recommend these Orlando golf courses!
